In exploring the theme “Dysfunction”, I am captivated by the ephemeral nature of technology and its inevitable obsolescence. The cassette tape, once a ubiquitous symbol of portable audio and personal curation, has succumbed to the relentless march of time. My work delves into the inherent dysfunction that arises as these once-revered relics become increasingly outdated.

Through mixed media, I aim to evoke a sense of melancholy and reflection on the transience of technology. The cracked and faded plastic, the falling action of the cassette frozen in time, and the worn copper color serve as visual metaphors for the passage of time and the inevitable decay of once-revered objects.
